Parame — Parasport Sweden
An accessible, content-rich platform helping people with disabilities find sports and training opportunities across Sweden.
The challenge
Parasport Sweden needed a platform where people with disabilities could easily discover sports activities near them. The existing site was difficult to navigate and didn’t meet WCAG accessibility standards — a problem when your entire audience depends on accessible design.
Content was scattered across multiple systems. Sports clubs, training locations, and event information lived in different databases with no unified search.
Our solution
We built ParaMe with React and Gatsby, using Contentful as the content backend. Every component was built to WCAG 2.1 AA standards from day one — keyboard navigation, screen reader support, and high-contrast design.
We created a search experience that filters by sport, location, and accessibility needs. The editorial team manages all content through Contentful — adding new sports and clubs without any code changes.
